Isn't it amazing how we took to it? I know I still think about that and wonder WHY it took me so long to come to it. Although I did go the horsey route. Mine was barrel racing so the transition to me seems pretty natural. Now I just have an iron horse that only requires feeding when I ride it. Although regular maintenance is required, so is it for horses and the motorcycle hasn't required me to get out on a cold wet night yet!

Too cool! That was a wonderful evening for me as well and I have to admit to a bit of night riding fear myself although mine does seem to be more bike specific. I have enjoyed keeping up with everyone and appreciate everyone's effort so be accomodating about when and where we can get together.

I can't really believe that it's been 3 years now since we took the course together but I'll never forget that first anniversary dinner. Hopefully we'll have a lot more of them.

I know I've already heard this story from you but reading it here, makes me mad too. How DARE someone take your new bike in a gated community no less. I would have assumed it was safe as well. Guess that makes me as naive as you! BUT the upside of the story is now you live near me. I'm so glad your bike has a garage near mine to park in. And I think the house is pretty awesome too!

ME too! How awesome was that day. It was fun to meet everybody for dinners and such but I think we were all anxious to ride together. Not sure why we didn't that day but at least we made the trip.

Shoot, you ARE brave. I couldn't ride that bike, NO way! And just think it took me until DECEMBER to work up the courage and then it was more the hubby deciding I needed a bike of my own. And of course when he did surprise me with it, I refused to ride it home from our friend's house. Made him ride it home and hide it in the basement cause my dad was there. I knew his response wouldn't be good! (and it wasn't)
Me and the kids followed the hubby up to a parking lot near home the very next day though and I felt comfortable on it right away. Enough so to ride it about a mile or so on the highway to the friend's house where he had surprised me with it. Of course I had to pull in her driveway with an audience. I don't recommend that. And my kids were videoing me in the parking lot but all of that was okay too.
The ride home felt good too but then he told me I was taking the turns too fast. Horrors! I could have fallen. Consequently though, it took me ages to stop braking in turns.
this has been a fun experience I would say though.

This is awesome, Claudia. I'm just now finding your blog and reading it. I've been finding several friends on facebook with blogs. I know you had mentioned this one at some point or another. How lazy of me to just now be finding it. This class truly was fun and I'm SO glad we did it together and became friends. How kind of you not to mention how clumsy the rest of the class was! (giggle)

Claudia,

I love your Adobe training classes and now I find out you ride. What could be better? Your blog is great and makes me contemplate my laziness...ah, well.

I had wanted to go to Atlanta, April 11, to see Saffire-The Uppity Blues Women but I went to a fishing tournament and got all tuckered out. I hope you got to see them, it's their last tour, they'll be missed.

I hope to see you in B'ham soon. Cheers!
